On 7 and 8 October 2011, the town of Corte in the French island of Corsica hosted 1st Men’s Futnet European Championship under the auspices of European Futnet Association (EFTA), organised by the French Futnet Federation. Thanks to this section you can keep up to date with all the relevant issues and developments regarding this highlight of European men’s futnet in 2011.
The aim of this section is to offer an insight into European futnet, focusing on various issues such as workings of futnet clubs, competitions, players, coaches, etc. We would also like to give an opportunity to the people involved in this sport to present their opinions about futnet in their country – what is the general situation, what they think could improve, what they consider as key issues for its development in their country as well as on an international level. As EFTA is composed of various types of countries – those where futnet is well-known and played by many as well as those where it is a complete novelty – we think that it will not only be interesting to contrast places with such different futnet background, but it may also help us in our common aim to spread the word about this wonderful sport and increase its popularity in Europe and beyond.
