Get to know…

The aim of this section is to offer an insight into European futnet, focusing on various issues such as workings of futnet clubs, competitions, players, coaches, etc. We would also like to give an opportunity to the people involved in this sport to present their opinions about futnet in their country – what is the general situation, what they think could improve, what they consider as key issues for its development in their country as well as on an international level. As EFTA is composed of various types of countries – those where futnet is well-known and played by many as well as those where it is a complete novelty – we think that it will not only be interesting to contrast places with such different futnet background, but it may also help us in our common aim to spread the word about this wonderful sport and increase its popularity in Europe and beyond.

Futnet in Basque Country

The second article about Basque Country brings an interview with Mr Juan José Bernal, president of Basque Futnet Association (AVAFUT), made before the European Championship for women and juniors which took place on 4 and 5 June in Vitoria. Juanjo – as the name of Juan José is commonly abbreviated in Spain – is the key person in Basque futnet and it is thanks to his commitment and hard work that futnet has progressed so quickly in the Basque Country.

Futnet – Roots, Culture, Future

by David Černý from Czech Futnet Association

I would like to look at three issues that I consider extremely important to our beautiful sport we love and that determine its situation and development in my country: Roots, Culture and Future.

Host of 1st EC for women and juniors

The country that will have the honour to inaugurate our new section is a complete newcomer on the FutNet scene, but one of the most active members since their accession to EFTA. At the same time, it is a country where 1st European Championship under the auspices of EFTA is going to take place on 4 and 5 June. And with all this we suppose you already know that we are talking about BASQUE COUNTRY.
