How does the association work?
subsidies from the state: about 25-30% of total cost per year
sponsorship: about 25-30% of total cost per year
the rest of the costs is covered by membership fees and participation fees for competitions
Current plans and priorities
Current Executive Board of the Czech FTA has following priorities:
- financial stability, because subsidies from the Czech Sport Association (ČSTV) are lower every year. Creation of our own income from members and from commercial partners.
- FutNet promotion among young people and in the national media like TV and newspapers.
- international stability of FutNet movement in new associations EFTA and UNIF
- support of expansion in new FutNet countries (technical DVDs and publications for coaches, referees and leaders)
Number of members – registered clubs and players: 8150 members in total, 7000 men, 420 women, 450 juniors, 280 pupils in 400 clubs
Competitions
Our competitions are organised with different rules concerning number of ball bounces. All national and top regional competitions are played with two ball bounces. And most of local competitions and tournaments are played with three ball bounces.
Men
National Extraleague – 8 teams
1st National league – 8 teams
2nd National league – two groups per 8 teams
12 regional competitions (between 4 and 10 participants usually).
More then 50 local competitions (between 4 and 10 participants usually)
National Championship in singles (17th year), doubles (40th year) and triples (42ndyear).
Winter National Cup in hall. Mostly with international participation.
The most famous tournament for triples in hall – Poslední smeč – 25 years of history.
More than 100 local tournaments for registered or non-registered players, mostly in triples.

Juniors (16-19 years old)
