Association, Players and Competitions

30 October 1961 – creation of Commission of FutNet in Prague

29 May 1971 – creation of Czech FutNet Association

How does the association work?

subsidies from the state: about 25-30% of total cost per year

sponsorship: about 25-30% of total cost per year

the rest of the costs is covered by membership fees and participation fees for competitions

Current plans and priorities

Current Executive Board of the Czech FTA has following priorities:

  • financial stability, because subsidies from the Czech Sport Association (ČSTV) are lower every year. Creation of our own income from members and from commercial partners.
  • FutNet promotion among young people and in the national media like TV and newspapers.
  • international stability of FutNet movement in new associations EFTA and UNIF
  • support of expansion in new FutNet countries (technical DVDs and publications for coaches, referees and leaders)

Number of members – registered clubs and players: 8150 members in total, 7000 men, 420 women, 450 juniors, 280 pupils in 400 clubs
